Anyway, so this week we learnt about Social Media. Truth be told, Social Media is like our magnet to use the internet. Come on, I'm sure majority of you would rather spend most of your time, Facebook-ing, Tweeting, Youtubing or Tumblr-ing rather than looking for research article. Psh, and if you said no. Then, you're a liar! =P
Back to Social Media, my favourite HAS GOT TO BE tumblr.com
Why? It's because it is like Narnia! =D Except there's no evil Snow Queen.
It may look like a plain cupboard on the outside but once you join and follow other users, it's freaking AWESOME! =D'
A brief history of Tumblr~!
Tumblr was created by David Karp and Marco Arment in 2007.

75,000 existing bloggers soon switched to the platform, and since that time, the service has garnered more than 3 million users. In 2009, Tumblr acquired the Tumblr iPhone app so that fanatics like me can micro-blog on the go. :)
Let me give you an insight of what my tumblr dashboard is like. ;)
There are several ways you can add an entry based on the different type of media you want to post. There's TEXT which is for normal blog entry, PHOTO, QUOTE (for any inspiring words you want to share), LINK (sharing URLs to other websites with your followers), CHAT (just like quote but it is use for sharing any interesting conversation you had with your friends), AUDIO( music players and songs) and lastly VIDEO (which you can get the embedded codes from youtube, or upload and post it here via html).
When you first sign up for tumblr, like any other social site, you need to key in your email, username, tumblr address and password. After that, you can create a your layout any way you want. What I love about tumblr is that it is designed to be more than a blog. =D
You have the normal layout like blogger. And you can also customize it to this layout.
Just place your cursor on the images posted and it will automatically scroll for you to view it in chronological order.
Another layout has a more of the 'montage' and 'collage' feel. It is especially user-friendly if you're the type who love to post and share pictures.
It gives you an eagle-eye view of all your pictures, making it easier to click and view them.
Tumblr to me, has a more artistic approach and it allows each users to express themselves differently. With different layout and extensive applications, you can't never tell what the other users' tumblr page will be like.
Why do I have a tumblr?
It's because it helps me keep updated with my Japanese bands. :D And also, I get to communicate with other fans and find videos and clips I want to watch which aren't allowed to be shared on other streaming sites.
I hope now you can understand how tumblr works. :)
With that, it's time for bed.
